This interactive web app is a demonstration of circulation in a vector field. It allows you to draw your own closed path and see the calculated circulation of a predefined rotational vector field. The canvas shows a grid of green arrows that represent the vector field. You can click and drag to draw a closed path on the canvas. The path will be rendered in red. When you click "Calculate Circulation", the app approximates the line integral. You'll observe that when you draw a path that encloses the origin, the circulation is a non-zero value. If the path does not enclose the origin, or if the path cancels out the rotational effect, the calculated circulation will be close to zero.
